Burrata

Burrata, the distant cousin of Mozzarella, is a traditional and very popular specialty of the region of Apulia in the southeast of Italy. Burrata was created to keep the cream and unsold Mozzarella in an outer shell of cow milk. Made by hand, our Burrata is appreciated for its soft and creamy heart called “Stracciatella”. Burrata is a trendy and major product of the Italian gastronomy. As such, it can be eaten, spread with salt and pepper, together with cherry tomatoes and basil leaves. Often served fresh with breadsticks and decorated with a dash of olive oil, it can also garnish pizza or bruschetta.
