Gorgonzola PDO logo

The Gorgonzola cheese PDO was born in 879 in the natural caves of Lombardy and Piedmont regions located in the North of Italy. Certified PDO since 1996, this cheese refined during 2 to 3 months with its characteristic veining has built its reputation as a traditional cheese of exception until becoming world-famous. The Gorgonzola PDO, an inescapable cheese of the Italian gastronomy, may be used in various ways: cold on a cheese board with walnuts, with a pear or with figs, but also as part of the recipes of hot dishes.
